Quotes Downloader

How to download quotes history via Quotes Downloader?

  1. Download the latest version of FDK on Tick Trader→FDK→FDK Downloads & Discussion forum branch.

FDK or FX Development Kit provides two levels of documented API: basic and extended. Basic API is useful for traders developing expert advisers, scripts and indicators. Extended API is focused on professional traders and brokers. It enables multi-connections, provides an opportunity to develop plugins and GUI. This level of API might be used outside of a client's terminal.
Another level of communication with server is implemented via standard and widespread public protocol.

  2. Open the folder where you downloaded FDK to and launch 'Quotes Downloader' (default folder - 'SoftFX/FDK/FRE/Quotes Downloader').

  3. Enter the required connection parameters (TP Live address, TP Live username and TP Live password) required for connection to TP server. Click Save.
*Please send an email to [email protected] or post a ticket at https://support.fxopen.com.au/AUS/Tickets/Submit in order to request connection parameters.

  4. Click Connect to establish connection.

  5. As soon as connection is established, select the time period of quotes history, specify the trading instrument and the type of quotes history (Ticks, Level2, etc.) to be downloaded.
*You may also select a download location folder (C:\Users\User\Documents\Quotes on default), using Browse.

Click Download to start quotes history downloading.

  6. When the download process is finished successfully, you will see the following message in the logs: 'Quotes storage has been flushed'.

  7. The archived data with the quotes history will be saved in the selected folder (or in default one).

  8. To export data in a .csv file, please use Quotes Exporter.
