1. How to open a Demo account? 

You can open FXOpen Demo Account by the following steps:

  1. Download and install FXOpen MT4 Trading Terminal (for STP) or FXOpen MT4 ECN Trading Terminal (for ECN) depending on what type of demo account you want to open.
  2. Go to the FXOpen Main page.
  3. Click Try Demo.
  4. Choose the type of your trading account (Demo STP or Demo ECN).
  5. Fill in the account opening form.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Start the FXOpen MT4 Trading Terminal or FXOpen MT4 ECN Trading Terminal on your PC depending on the chosen account type.
  8. Go to File → Login to Trade Account and enter your demo account details: account numbertrader's password and select the FXOpenAU-Demo STP or FXOpenAU-ECN Demo server depending on your account type.
For ECN Demo accounts you will also need the One Click Trading Level2 Plugin to monitor the market depth.
Your Demo account will be disabled (moved to archive) if there’s been no trading activity on the account.  
Please open a new demo account if your previous one is  unavailable.

2. How to open a Live account? 

Click Register on FXOpen website and fill in the registration form.

3. I get the message "Information must contain only English characters" when I try to submit my personal information and click Next. Why?

Please fill the form using English characters only. We don't accept other characters. 

Do not include special symbols like [email protected]#№$%^&?*().,_-+\/.

4. What is phone password?

Phone Password — type any word (combination of words) that is easy for you to remember. If an FXOpen staff member gives you a phone call, we will ask your name, address and the phone password to verify your identity.

5. I type the numbers of the Anti-spam code correctly but the following message appears "An error has occurred at validation of Anti-spam code". 

Try to enter attentively a new code. If this wasn’t helpful it means that you might be using connection via a Proxy-server. Contact your system administrator and ask him to change the settings of the Proxy-server cache. If the problem persists contact our Live Chat, give your registration information and our support team will help you to fill in the registration form for account opening.

6. How many accounts can I open?

A trader can register only one eWallet with FXOpen but can add any number of trading accounts to it.

7. How can I open one more trading account?

If you already have a trading account with FXOpen and want to open another one please, do the following:

  1. Log in to your FXOpen personal area.
  2. Click Add Account in the menu.
  3. Choose the type of account (ECN or STP).
  4. Fill in the registration form.

A new account will have its own login (account number), trader password and investor password. If your eWallet has been verified (the status is 'Verified') you don’t need to verify any of your trading accounts.

8. I opened eWallet under the agent’s referral link and added some trading accounts. Will I pay commission from each trading account if I use all of them for trading? 

Yes. Commission will be charged form each separate trading account used for trading.

9. How do I change my account registration information (e-mail address, name, phone number, address, etc.)?

Please, send a request to  with a detailed explanation what needs to be changed. Put down your FXOpen eWallet number and attach the new scans of the same or another ID document. The information will be changed on the same or next business day.

10. How to reactivate inactive trading accounts?

If you do not access your trading account (STP, ECN) by 'logging on' via the trading platform using your account number and password and/or there are no deposits to/withdrawals from the trading account for any period of 90 days, then after those 90 days the account is deemed 'Inactive' and is placed to archive.

Inactive account can be re-activated on request, upon condition of the full repayment of the debt (if any) to the Company. Re-activation Fee is $50. Also, a maintenance fee of $10 is charged for each month of keeping your account operation history in archive. 

The funds on the inactive account can be returned only via the account reactivation procedure and payment of debts (reactivation fee + maintenance fee). Otherwise, the account balance will be annulled.
