1. What is the difference between the Trader’s password and the Investor’s password?
After account registration a Client gets two passwords:
- Trader Password – is used to log in to the trading platform MetaTrader 4 for trading.
- Investor Password – can be only used to log in to the MetaTrader 4. This is a "read only" password. You will be able to see the state of the account (balance, profit, loss, open positions, the account history, etc.), but you won’t be able to trade or change any settings.

2. I can’t log in to my FXOpen and to the MetaTrader both.
The most likely reasons:
- You may have entered a wrong password. Make sure the CAPS LOCK button on your keyboard is switched off and you type in English, not in any other language. To avoid any mistakes we recommend to copy and paste your Trader's password from the registration e-mail from [email protected]. If you haven’t saved this e-mail message, you should request a new Trader's password (see question 11).
- Your account may have been put to archive because you haven’t logged in it for 90 days or more (MetaTrader logins). In this case you may:
- open a new account with a different e-mail address;
- e-mail a request to activate your account (mention the account number) to [email protected]. The account will be made active again within 24 hours.
 |
Balance under $50 is NOT restored on activating an unused account. |

- Login – your trading account number;
- Password – the Trader’s password (Сase sensitive! Please, keep the lowercase and uppercase letters). To avoid any mistakes we recommend to copy and paste your Trader's password from the registration e-mail from [email protected];
- Server. You will see the drop down list with all FXOpen servers. Please, select the server that was stated in the registration e-mail from [email protected]. If the server that was recommended to you is not in the list, type the server name as in the registration e-mail (for example - real1.fxopen.com.au:443). 5. I can’t log in to my FXOpen.
When you log in to FXOpen using your login and password (not social networks), check if you type the correct information in the following fields:
- Login – your email registered with FXOpen;
- Password – FXOpen password. (Сase sensitive! Please, keep the lowercase and uppercase letters).
If this data is correct, most likely, you have set an IP-filter in FXOpen when you logged in there last time. The IP-filter allows to log in only from one and the same IP-address. That’s a good security measure if you have a static IP-address. But if your IP-address is dynamic (or you are not sure about your IP-address type), please, DO NOT type your IP address into the IP-filter section! To switch off the IP-filter, please, e-mail a request to [email protected] or contact our Live Chat.
